Italicize all punctuation immediately following italicized text.
Emphasis:
Italics may be used to strongly emphasize a word or expression. Underline the segment to be highlighted in a manuscript, and it will be printed in italics.
Bob insisted that it was his fish.
Foreign Words:
Non–Anglicized foreign words and expressions should be in italics. Foreign words of wide general usage in English (Anglicized) are excepted.
Names:
Use italics for the proper names of ships, aircraft, spacecraft, and trains.
Use italics for the scientific names of genera and species when written together, but not for higher divisions such as "Kingdom" or "Family."
